Question Asked: What’s the Longest Book Ever Written?

Jun 11th, 2008 |
This is one of those questions where the answer depends on the specifics.
Technically, the longest book ever written is “Yongle Dadian”, which is an encyclopedia of of the Chinese Ming dynasty, and is 10,000 volumes. It’d be a long read to read all 22,937 chapters.
However, according to other sources, the largest “single bound book” (which excludes ‘volumes’) is “Marienbad My Love”, by Mark Leach. It clocks in a just over 10 million words.
Now that’s a long read.
