Question Asked: What Is the Most Widely Read Newspaper in the World?
Good question, I dug into it, and it looks like it’s not what I thought originally.
Yomiuri Shimbun, Asahi Shimbun, Mainichi Shimbun and Seikyo Shimbun are all Japanese papers, which hold the highest daily circulation.
The most read paper in the United States, is USA Today, not The New York Times (as I would have guessed)
The world record for most daily newspapers circulated was back in 1990. Russian newspaper Trud had a daily circulation of 21.5million.
To put that in perspective, the average US paper is roughly 2million copies per day (or week, depending on the publication). The record’s nearly 10 times the US daily circulation.
Question Asked: What Is the Fastest Roller Coaster in the World?
According to various sources, the Kingda Ka (pictured below) is the fastest roller coaster in the world.
With a top speed of 128 miles per hour, it’s the fastest there is. Oh, and it’s also the tallest. It’s at Six Flags Great Adventure, in New Jersey. It’s been about 13 years since I’ve been down there, but it might be worth taking a trip again!

The top five fastest roller coasters are listed below:
- Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson Township, New Jersey, USA, 128 MPH
- Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio, USA, 120 MPH
- Dodonpa at Fuji-Q Highland, Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan, 106.9 MPG
- Superman The Escape at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia, California, USA, 100 MPH
- Tower of Terror at Dreamworld, Coomera, Queensland, Australia, 100 MPH
Those are some serious coasters, with some serious speed. Not for the faint hearted.
Just look at the drop in the Kingda Ka to the right. That’s enough to make anyone pee their pants!

Short post today, but it’s an easy answer. Got a question? Ask me!
Ps; don’t be alarmed, the site did change. I had to use a new WordPress theme, because the old one didn’t work suddenly with the version of MySQL that my host is running. You’re in the right place, though. No need for panic.
Question Asked: What is the Tallest Building In The World?
The tallest building in the world is the Burj Dubai (in Dubai), which is just over two thousand (2,000) feet tall. That’s more than a quarter mile high.

At roughly $4 billion dollars, it’s also one of the most expensive skyscrapers ever built. But seriously, who wants to go to Dubai to see this thing? I certainly don’t.
