Question Asked: How Many Times Do You Blink In A Day?
|
Dec 18th, 2008 |
Based on research done by all sorts of a top notch scientist (read: me, this morning), I determined that my average blinking is roughly once per every five seconds, or twelve times per minute.
Based on that, I blink 720 times per hour.
Or 17,280 times per day.
In researching the question online, it appears that my blinking is quite normal. The average blink happens every 4.8 seconds, so my guesstimate that every 5 seconds was pretty close. If we factor in 4.8, the blinks per day is roughly 18,000. Just a few more than I thought.
Children, however, blink more often than adults, at every 4 seconds. Which is 21,600 blinks per day.
